Where do you photograph weddings?

Dustin is mostly hired as a wedding photographer in the New England area, particularly in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. When shooting New England weddings within 50 miles of Portland, Maine or Boston, Massachusetts, Dustin does not charge any travel fees. How much does hiring a professional wedding photographer cost?

Hiring a professional wedding photographer is a worthwhile investment that can and should make your entire event timeless. With specialized equipment and important technical knowledge, Wedding photographers are experienced professionals who memorialize your day while providing clients with the peace of mind that no moment will be forgotten.

Nevertheless, wedding photography does not need to 'break the bank.' Dustin offers generous wedding packages starting at $2000. Please contact for specific package details.

How long will the wedding photographer be present at our wedding?

Unless special arrangements are made, Dustin will typically arrange to be on the premises for 6 to 8 hours on your wedding day. Additionally, Dustin always plans to arrive at least 30 minutes early in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Who will be photographing the wedding?

Dustin will photograph your wedding from start to finish, and depending on the size and specific requirements of your wedding, an additional shooter may also be present with Dustin.

Will we be overwhelmed by having a camera in our face for hours?

As a wedding photojournalist, Dustin's focus is on capturing the candid moments of your day with as little intrusion as possible. While most couples desire some 'arranged' photos of themselves, their wedding party, and their close family and friends -- which Dustin is happy to accommodate -- you can expect to spend most of your day without a wedding photographer prodding you back and forth for photos.

How many photos will you take?

For a full day of shooting (6 to 8 hours), Dustin typically takes between 900-1200 frames. From those images, Dustin carefully hand-picks and individually edits each image, providing the client with between 300 and 500 expertly edited high resolution images.

Does a wedding photojournalist take group shots, family shots, or formal shots of the bride and groom?

Being a wedding photojournalist, Dustin tries to cause as little intrusion during your day as possible. However, Dustin still encourages every couple he works with to designate at least some time -- as little as 20 minutes or up to an hour or more -- to taking 'formal' photographs. After all, when is the next time everyone will be looking this good!

Do you charge fees for travel or expenses?

All fees and expenses are included for weddings within 50 miles of Portland, Maine or Boston, Massachusetts. Dustin is available for weddings around the world, for which a $100 travel fee is charged, plus the cost of related expenses (fuel/airfare, lodging, meals). In certain circumstances, the travel fee and some expenses may be waived -- contact to inquire.
